Content Integration

The Challenge

The French Institute of Israel approached me to design a dedicated website for the Chateaubriand Fellowship Program.

The fellowship supports PhD students from Israeli universities who want to conduct research in France for 4–9 months.

The challenge was simple: Create a professional, clear, and easy-to-navigate website that could communicate everything applicants need to know.

Turning Content Into Structure

The client provided a document outlining the pages and content they wanted on the website.

My first step was turning that information into a clear sitemap. I mapped out the pages, their hierarchy, and organized the content within each page, outlining the key sections and information so both the client and I had a clear picture of the final structure

Working Within an Existing Brand

The website wasn't meant to reinvent the French Institute's visual identity. The client provided their brand book and asked me to keep the new website visually connected to their existing main website.

I used their established typography, colors, visual language, and overall design direction as the foundation.

Design goal: Create something new, while making it immediately feel like part of the French Institute.

Finding the Right Direction

The homepage needed to communicate the purpose of the fellowship immediately.

I explored different directions for the hero section to find the right balance between the program's message and the visual identity of the French Institute.

After presenting the designs to the client, we iterated on the hero section until we reached the final direction.

Bringing the Design to Life

Once approved, I handed the designs to the development team and stayed involved through the build, running design QA and implementing the client-provided content.

The Outcome

The Chateaubriand Fellowship website is now live, giving prospective applicants a clear and dedicated place to explore the program and application process.

From content → structure → UI design → feedback → development → QA → launch, I took the project from an initial content document to a finished digital experience.
